biscuits

one thing that confuses me here is the difference in meaning between english words and american words.

for example

biscuits. first thing you think of is digestives or rich tea's or a yummy hobnob...(we all love hobnobs)
you associate it with a cuppa tea or glass of milk!

so when i came along KFC and it said on the sign - CHICKEN AND BISCUITS.... i thought....thats a weird choice of desert.....okidoki then ill give it ago...these americans are weird but whatever.

I opened my box...and i discover a scone. a scone. an actual scone....just a plain scone, quite soft in the middle, hard on the outside...whatever....still quite strange...scone and chicken...but y'know these people have croissant sandwhichs with cold meats in it so ok i took it.
Then i started looking for my biscuit.....well i couldn't find it anywhere in the bag...then i realised. Americans call scones biscuits! biscuits! BISCUITS!
and you know cookies....well here all biscuits are cookies, even oreo's are a cookie!
and scones...they're rock cakes...hard inside and out!

strange americans.

oh yea and here chocolate is candy.

chicken and biscuits....PAH!
