This is me in uniform at work. Taken by my dear friend Caz, who was queuing up to ride the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. I was sulking cos she was off work in that queue and I was stuck in the rain at hard rock....all alone.
Thought you guys might wanna see me in my uniform anyway!

Sticky has been evicted

Also,

I can't remember wether i wrote about sticky....the lizard. he moved in a couple weeks ago, and went missing...

i found him.

of course it was me.

of course it was me that had to find him.

tsk.

anyway, i was cleaning as per usual, and was sorting the bin out, and a grapevine stick thing stuck to my hand, and i tried to pick it off, but it crawled up my arm.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

greg was in his room...but didn't come to my rescue.

he jumped of my arm onto my shoe and stayed there.

Greg refused to evict sticky. I rang Tim our neighbour to come and throw him out.

And now all my housemates want me to move out for evicting sticky, cos they would rather have the lizard than me.

I have bad spatial awareness

I have decided from riding my bike, that my spatial awareness of controlling any kind of machinary/vehicle/bike still remains the same as when i drove a car. So when I am riding my bike down the sidewalk....yes sidewalk, i feel there is not enough room for me and my bike to pass other people. And i dont have a bell. I feel i should push these people into the grass so i have enough room.

For some strange reason as soon as i am level with another person on the sidewalk, i suddenly shake on my bike and can't ride in a straight line. I need more space people.

MOVE OUT MY WAY WHEN IM RIDING!

Walmart tried to kill me

So on wednesday i went to buy a bike.
i stopped complaining about the transport for a while, but its still awful. my last 3 shifts at work---bus didnt turn up and had to get a different bus which in turn made me have to walk half the way. missed the bus by about 5 seconds because omgoodness....it was early! bus was 25 minutes late....the bus is supposed to come every half hour - nearly late for work.

So i've had enough of the bus, im going to buy a bike and ride to work. takes less time anyway.

So off i went to get the bus to wallmart, and i went inside, had a quick look at bikes, then went and picked up everything else i needed - trainers, helmet and bike lock.
Ok, got somebody to help me pick out a bike, and she was trying to make me buy the 26" purple bike, which was about $10 cheaper but i dont want a girly purple bike, I wanted a more neutral bike...like the nice orange and silver 24" one. So she pumped up the tyres and everything for me so i could ride it home. awesome.

or not.

got to the door after paying and someone asked to see my receipt for the bike. ok. hopped on and realised it was raining. ah well. rode to the end of the sidewalk and there was a car, so i braked.

or tried to.

the bloomin back brake didnt work, i thought i was going to crash so i pulled on the front wheel brake, which in turn made the entire back end of the bike try to flip over my head, i stumbled off and managed to miss the car.

turned around and walked straight back to walmart, excuse me....THE BRAKES DONT WORK!

NO, THE BRAKES DO NOT WORK!!!!

so this guy went and got a screwdriver, and sat down with the bike, and realised it didnt even have brake pads, so went and took them off another bike to screw on. got it sorted, and i asked him to test drive it for me, and he discovered the back wheel was wonky.

bloody brilliant

so he took the brake pad off and went and attached it back to the other bike. at this point i did not trust any of the orange and silver bikes, so i went and exchanged it for the girly purple bike.

atleast the brakes work on it.

got to the end of the road and some black ghetto gangsta said " hey white gurl, can I speak witchu?" - i said no thanks, and rode off. thank you bike.



only problem now is i desperatly need a cushion, my butt is killing me. I did manage to get to work and back nearly in one piece yesterday! itll be reet.

Clearwater beach!

My family know how much i hate beach's...

...

...i do.

however... i have grown up, and become more independant....i mean c'mon, I moved to america!

but sand....and fish....and salt water....and heat....and sunburn. WHO WANTS THAT!

but, everyone was going so I sucked it in and went with everyone, i didn't want to miss out...and its been 8 years since i went to clearwater, maybe the beach isn't as bad as i remember!

So getting up at 8am wasn't too bad.... and the 2hour bus journey wasnt too bad, and getting a place on the beach was fine too.
So far so good.
Then everyone went straight into the sea.
OK alyssa, its fine, the water is fine, the shells hurt ur feet a little, but its fine, its fine.

OH MY GOODNESS ME THERE IS FISH EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EVERYWHERE!!!!!

but everyone was in the sea posing for a photo, and i so wanted to be in the photo, i looked straight ahead and splashed as much as possible to get the fish to stay away from me and ran into the photo.

so i ran out and virtually hyperventilated and got myself into a quiet state.


Luckily another girl Jo was terrified of jellyfish and didnt want to get in the sea and we persuaded each other to go in.
I did become a tad hysterical as there was literally schools of fish swimming around us. and they were huge too.
But as we got deeper the fish dissapeared. Thats what im telling myself anyway cos i couldnt see them!

I recovered well and we all played girls v boys catch the wilson ball.

it was fine.

i even sunbathed for a grand total of about an hour whilst we were there! Although it did become unbaringly hot so i went back into the sea (with my eyes closed) and stared at all the fit bodied men.

There were a few of them :-)

took my mind of the fish anyway!



Then the massive storm came so we left an hour earlier. we seen the lightning hit the sea - it was incredible....y scary!!!!



I managed like 6 hours on a beach - Mam you know your proud. I will impress you yet!


and i survived the fish :)

sorry its been a while...

well my days off this week have been fun.

On tuesday i went to seaworld, its so amazing there :-D
First we went on Manta - google the ride, its amazing, i think i dribbled though, cos ur hanging upside down sort of, and i was screaming, and gravity etc, and then we went on Krakin, on the front row aswell, that was amazing, felt so good on the front row, its just not as good in any other row! and then we went to the dolphins, and me and lucie stood over the wall for about an hour waiting to stroke the dolphin. everyone left us cos they had got a stroke, but we were persistant and managed to get a full blown head to fin stroke :-D I also threw a ball for it to catch. dolphins are amazing.

then we went to see the polar bears, and got some food, then watched the evening sea lion and otter show, and then shamu rocks, which we got soaked at, and then went to ride manta again, and then when we got to krakin, because they were closing everyone got on it 4 times, I went on it 3 times, i had to have a break in the middle cos i felt dizzy lol.

On wednesday we went to the universal orlando resorts, you should google all of these! first we went to see our english friend ian at jaws - hes the very first international skipper on the jaws ride!!!! the very first non american skipper :-D and he was so funny, really good at it. apparently he recites the script in his sleep, he lives and breathes jaws cos he has to say the same script 30 times a day lol. then we got the water taxi to the lowes royal pacific hotel, and hung out at the pool, then transfered to the portofino bay hotel and then to the hard rock hotel, then went back to universal to watch the cinesphere 360 which was more impressive than hearing it whilst im at work lol.
